Our History
is a small project dedicated to the marketing of traditional mezcals and agave spirits, guided by strong environmental values and principles. We focus on the preservation of native flora and fauna, traditional farming techniques, agroforestry practices, and the promotion of innovative, low-impact organic production methods.

History
My name is Gus Almanza. As a mezcal enthusiast and environmental scientist, I’ve always approached the natural world with curiosity and humility. My studies have taken me across much of Mexico—exploring landscapes, nature reserves, towns, and conservation projects—but above all, they’ve brought me closer to its people.
Wherever I go, I find agaves blooming by the roadside, and mezcals for sale in every village. Each one carries the taste of the place (Bowen, 2015) where it was made, reflecting both the richness—and the fragility—of the landscape that gave life to it.
We believe that all environmental conservation and social responsibility efforts must be rooted in their cultural and geographical context. For that reason, we focus on supporting directly at the source. So far, we’ve worked on initiatives such as:
Made with select agaves and traditional processes that honor Mexico's mezcal heritage.
Authentic flavor with smoky notes, the result of an ancient slow-cooking process.
Perfect balance of strength and character, ideal for sipping on its own or in high-end mixology.
Employment inclusion for individuals undergoing social reintegration.
